How You can Support Us:

SPONSOR A GIRL’S EDUCATION FOR ONE YEAR / £34 a month

You can cover the entire costs of a girl’s education at the school, helping her to ensure a
brighter future.

We have worked with the local community of Swawou in Kenema, Sierra Leone since 2008 and have found that poverty remains the number one barrier to girls receiving a primary education. Our core mission therefore to remove this barrier by providing an entirely free education in a safe and nurturing learning environment.

BECOME A LUNCH
CLUB SUPPORTER / £6 a month

You can provide a hot nutritious lunch to a pupil at Swawou.
School lunches not only aid the concentration and performance of the girls, but also provide a strong incentive for parents and guardians to send their daughters to school and keep them there. So play your part in keeping our girls happy and healthy by becoming a supporter of our lunch programme.

GIVE A GIRL A ‘BACK TO SCHOOL KIT’ / £40

You can provide a pupil with two school uniforms, text books and stationery for one school year.

Many families are still unable to afford the costs of uniforms, text books and stationary. This provides a very real barrier to sending their daughters to school. By giving one of our pupils a ‘back to school kit,’ you will be helping to ensure that the girls of Swawou have the resources and materials they need to return to school.

Impact of our work

Educating girls is essential to the productivity, health and development of Sierra Leone. It not only empowers a generation of girls and women, but also helps to break cycles of poverty and results in raised income, healthier and smaller families, and communities that are more proactive in their development.

We have seen great success over the past few years thanks to the kind support and donations of our supporters. We hope to grow the school even further and continue offering these essential services to our pupils.

We can only achieve this with the help of people like you. Please give whatever
you can today.
